這首歌是2013年比利時尼德劇團的劇場作品《伊莎蓓拉的房間》插曲，當時來到臺灣演出，看過的觀眾都給予不錯的評價。故事是虛構人物伊莎蓓拉的一生，她是一個既前衛又神秘的女子，富有爭議卻又充滿魅力，從她自己與相關人物的自述中，呈現了20世紀的重大事件或曾經流行的風潮；尼德劇團的表演方式，簡單來說就是演員不斷地向觀眾訴說，旁白的份量比對戲還重，且舞台上擺上長桌，上頭已然放置了所有戲中需要的道具，以及導演運用其做為業餘民族學者父親留下的考古文物所鋪排出來的異國風格，整齣戲就像是一場生動的講故事時間，同時又編排如同即興的舞蹈和歌曲，熱鬧而有趣。《給安東佛的歌》是這齣作品的原聲帶裡唯一可在YouTube上找到的歌曲，在演出後的一陣子，幾乎看過的人都要在社群網站上分享這首輕快的歌曲，歌詞裡則帶有某種不斷尋求改變、不願服從命運的精神。
